Saturday in Manistee, there’s lots to do. This morning we joined Tom and Sue for a visit to the “Home Grown Manistee”, a farmers market in downtown. Fresh home grown vegetables, home baked breads, jams and jellies were in great supply and we were entertained by a local musical duo.

In the afternoon, we went to the “Grapes on the River” festival in a downtown park. Michigan wines and craft beer were served and several local restaurants provided food. It was a nice sunny afternoon and a great day to enjoy this great little downtown.

Tomorrow we may venture out on Lake Michigan IF there aren’t any thunderstorms around. The forecast for wind and waves looks good but we’re expecting rain and possible storms. Rain is OK; storms aren’t. So we’ll wait and see.
