Today is the National Holiday, Canada Day. It’s a day to mark the formation or “Canada’s birthday” of Canada in 1847 joining the Provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the Province of Canada into one Canada. Here in Parry Sound, there has been a day-long celebration including children’s activities all day, and live bands playing. The Marina completely filled up today with boats, decked out in Canadian flags.
There were cookouts and parties all day long at the marina, and lots of red shirts and Canada themed clothing. Everyone was in the holiday spirit.
At dusk there was a Christmas Boat and Sail in the Harbor (right in front of us as the marina). Topping off the days events, fireworks in the Harbor.
We’ll be anchoring out in Georgian Bay for the next few days and won’t have internet. We’ll post as soon as we can… Until then…..
